OUR TRAININGS

INTERCULTURAL TRAININGS FOR SOCIAL AND HEALTH CARE WORKERS, AND TEACHERS

For social and health care workers, all clients are equal. For this to be expressed in practice, it helps to understand cultural differences.

Professionals working in the social and health fields regularly experience culture shock. Therefore, it is crucial that professionals learn to identify and handle cultural differences and to stand up for communication born in the intercultural space.

The theoretical background of the training is provided by cultural anthropology, including the analysis of intercultural shock. Participants process theoretical knowledge in small group exercises, during joint case analysis. Group participants can bring real conflicts experienced during their work to analyse with new perspectives and knowledge acquired during the training, they also help each other by exchanging experiences and sharing knowledge. The training is informal in nature: that is, it differs from the usual classroom framework in that participants gain experience of the theories discussed through creative, interactive exercises that involve the whole personality, so that the acquired knowledge is better grasped. Through training, support professionals can respond to the needs of clients and patients with greater sensitivity, regardless of their origin or cultural background. The quality of customer relations improves, and thus the satisfaction of customers and patients with the services provided by the institution.

I dare to write in the plural because not only during the 6 days, but also since then, I have been in correspondence with several of the participants of the course and I can safely say that there is a follow-up to the course." - Intercultural training for social professionals

Intercultural awareness, soft skills development and team building for companies

Intercultural compassion is an investment that pays off: host organisations perform better.

Cultural diversity in the workplace offers a return on investment. Members of multicultural teams are able to bring different perspectives and strategies to different approaches to problems, which benefits joint collaboration and creative problem-solving. At the same time, businesses have a responsibility to help prevent the culture shock which naturally results from cultural encounters and differences from becoming an obstacle to cooperation. Making the workplace conducive to intercultural encounters requires a new level of cooperation and communication between employees, customers and management.

The aim of our intercultural training courses is to help employees, team leaders and HR staff working in companies to be more confident in dealing with situations in the intercultural space and to be able to help their colleagues create a working environment in which everyone can contribute to the best of their abilities.
